Editorial
Imagine a club without guest
speakers…Imagine a club with no
direction…Imagine a club with bad
leadership…a club with no sponsors, no
raffle items, no fundraisers, and
therefore virtually no money in the
bank….how about a club with a bad
reputation in the community..
How about club meetings that were
nothing but two hour bitching sessions?
Well, guess what….that is exactly how
this club used to be!! The biggest reason
for this is that we used to have a weak,
almost non-existent executive board.
The board almost never met, problems
were not resolved, and the regular club
meetings were less than pleasant to say
the least. This club is now organized,
has great sponsors and members who
donate product for our raffles, we have
fundraisers, and great guest speakers.
We have a great reputation in the
community. I’m prouder than ever to say
I’m a member of the Castaic Bass Club!

U.S. Anglers Choice
I am proud to announce that that the
new director of the
Anglers Choice Castaic Region
is our very own Michael Stern!
This circuit has a great
schedule starting in January
and concluding in August. To
see these or any other Castaic
tournament dates be sure check
out the calendar section of
castaiclake.com!

You can already expect four of
our tournaments to be at
Castaic next year, including
January, June, July, and
September. The only reason
these have already been
schedule is because of the
extreme difficulty of obtaining
variances for live weigh-ins.
These dates had to be applied
for last month! We still need to
get a committee together to
decide on our other tournament
sites for next year. Maybe we
can meet after the regular
meeting this Thursday night?

Please take a hard look at our
sponsor page and make sure to
support those who support us!
