Club hits Castaic
The 9th tournament of the 2004 CBC circuit took place out of the West Ramp on September 12th. Taking first were Mike Carpenter and Scott with a
limit weighing 14 lbs. Led by Mike's 3.4 lb. event big fish. Taking second were Doug and Brian with another limit weighing 13.9 lbs. Taking third
were Mike Munson and Marcia with four fish weighing 5.1 lbs.

As you all know this was a paper weigh in and a special thanks to all of those who followed the requested rules. Our schedule has been set for next
year and we will have variances allowing us to weigh in 13" fish at all of our Castaic events next year.

Our next tournament will take place on October 17th with a non-boater fee of $25.

The speaker at our next meeting will be well known local pro Stan Vanderberg.

2005 CBC Schedule
A big thanks to several members who stayed late after the last meeting to help establish our club tournament schedule for next year, and it's a good one:
January 16th-Castaic
February 13th-Piru
March 13th-Casitas
April 17th-Pyramid
May 14th-15th-Cachuma
June 12th-Castaic Club Challenge
July 17th-Castaic
August 14th-Piru
September 11th-Castaic
October 16th-17th-Lopez
Non-boater fees are $20 for Castaic, $25 for Piru, Pyramid and Casitas and $40 for Cachuma. We'll get back to you on Lopez.

A busy President
Stern has been a busy guy lately. In addition to fishing the recent Anglers Choice Tournament of Champions at Clear Lake, he also has been named the
new tournament director for the Castaic Region of the AC circuit. A complete schedule of these events can be found on our new website, at
www.castaicbassclub.com. That's right, we now have our own website! Although it is only in its infancy, the site is full of great information,
including our own tournament schedules and standings.

News and notes
A big thanks to those who helped out with our night tournament BBQ's. These are the fundraisers that make things like camping trips to Cachuma
and Lopez possible.

The weekend of November 13th-14th looks to be a busy one for many club members. That is the weekend of the Bass-a-thon at Anglers Marine in
Anaheim. The featured speakers include Bassmaster Classic champion Takahioro Amori, along with Gerald Swindle, Gary Klein, Skeet Reese, Mike
Long, and Aaron Martens. Hopefully a big majority of the club can make it down there to listen to the speakers and support the folks at Anglers
Marine, longtime supporters of our club.

Another one of our supporters, Bass World West, will be hosting a unique tournament out of the West Ramp on October 23rd. If you think you are
good, come out and try to prove it, as this will not be a team event, it will be single
fisherman vs one another-just like on the last day of the Bassmaster Classic! Watch for a BBQ after this one as well. Look for entry forms at
www.bassworldwest.com.

Also that weekend, on the 13th, will be the Love Ride at the lower lake and as usual we will need help manning our beer booth, another great fundraiser
for the club.

If you have a tournament plaque from last year that you need updated with your club accomplishments from this year, you need to bring them to the
next meeting. If we don't have them, we can't update them.

Please take a hard look at our sponsor page and be sure to support those who support us!
