Next meeting-March 10th at Hamburger Hamlet in Valencia
Club fishes a full Piru
The second tournament of the 2005 CBC circuit took place on February 13th at Piru. This was a Piru that many member had never seen, as if was
never seen, as it was full at 1200 acres with water roaring over the spillway. In fact, Manny kept saying that the conditions reminded him of Lake
Guntersville! Debris filled much of the lakes main basin to so club members were careful to observe the lakes 10 mph limit. Taking first were Mike
Stern and Brian with four fish weighing 10.75lbs, led by Brians 3.28lb event big fish. Taking second were Mike Forslund and J.D. with four fish
weighing 9.23lbs. Taking third were Ron Licari and Grant with two fish weighing 4.26lbs. Overall fishing was very tough for the 10 teams that
launched out of Reasoners Cove.
I want to personally thank our tournament director Larry Wild for taking care of the draw at the last meeting. Things were a bit confusing for a while
but Larry was able to get everyone in a boat! Your effort are greatly appreciated , Larry.
Last meeting
The guest speaker at our last meeting was club favorite Dan Warme. As usual Dan had plenty of words of advise and went into depth on
topographical maps. A big thanks to Dan for donating items for our monthly raffle.
Next meeting
The speaker at our next meeting will be veteran Western Pro and tournament director Ron Cervenka. You won’t want to miss this one as Ron always
has many great words of advice to offer.
Next tournament
Our next tournament will be at Casitas on March 13th. Remember, if you can’t make the meeting please call a member of the executive board to let
them know if you plan to fish the tournament.
If you are a member of the executive board, please remember that we meet on the Mondays at Sterns house the same week as the regular monthly club
meeting.
