4342The Landers get it done at Castaic
Congratulations to the team of Mke and his son, Garrett Lander, who won our club
tournament on June17th at Castaic. They had a great limit of 14.66lbs, topped by
the event big fish of 6.46lbs. Great job guys! Mike is spirted in his fishing by
Skeeter, Yamaha, St Croix, Roboworm and Maxima.
Taking second were another father and son team, Brendon and Carson O’Dell, with
another fine limit going 10.37lbs. Excellent job guys!
Garnering third were Bo Viescas and Eddie Carr with another nice limit weighing in
a 10.26lbs.
Last meeting
A huge thanks to local big fish stick Matt Newman for the great speech he gave at
our last meeting. Mike has told me that we should have no problem getting our
room back for the next meeting, less noise for sure this time!
A huge thanks to all of those who helped out with the last night tournament BBQ.
These great folks included Richard Cook and wife, Karl, Marcia, Marcia’s friend
Nancy, and Mike Iljin. Also, a huge thanks to Mark O’Borsky for bringing the grill
up to the ramp, and to Howard Gross of the FOCL for doing much of the cooking.
Don’t forget, we will once again need help at the next event on July 27th.
