Dateline: July 15, 2007: The 7th event of the 2007 CBC curcuit took place out of
Castaic's West Ramp under cloudy, cool conditions that eventually burned off to
brilliant sunshine. !0 teams launched to see who would be champion on this day. As
it turned out, Jeff Jue and Jake were the ones on a huge winning pattern, as they
brought in a great limit totalling 21.22lbs, led by Jeff event big fish of 7.3lbs. I
believe that the big fish hit a topwater bait. Great job guys!
Taking second were Brendon O'Dell and Brian Sasahara with another great limit
weighing 18.68lbs, led by a 5.05lb kicker. Rumor has it that there was some skill
involved, and the fish really gravitated toward the brilliant shine of Brendon's
Ranger Z boat! Great job guys!
Taking third were Marcia, Terry and Bo with another nice limit weighing 17.59lbs,
with a kicker of 4.5lbs. Our fish hammered senkos all day, and also hit ikas and
shaky heads. The key really was Bo's pinpoint boat control and Marcias guidance
on the where the best spots were!!
One final note, if any of you guys have pics of club events, be sure to forward them
to Mike Stern, and he'll be more than happy to put em' on our website.
