Club makes the long treck to Lake Lopez
Dateline: August 11-12, 2007
For the the first time in the 15 year history of the Castaic Bass Club, members
made the long treck up the 101 freeway to this top Central Coast Lake. The lake did
not disappoint as several teams found quality fish throughout Great job to guest
fisherman Charlie Weyer, who teamed with new member Matt Thompson for a two
day, 10 bass total of 26.35lbs, led by the event big fish of 4.27lbs . Great job guys!!
Taking second were Jeff Jue and Eddie Car with a two day total of nine bass going
25.13lbs, with a kicker of 4.08lbs. There is no doubt that Jeff's vast knowledge of
the lake contributed to the team's success. Great job guys!
Taking third was Skeeter Pro Mike Lander, who teamed with Brian Sasahara for ten
bass totaling 20.99lbs. Great job guys!!
NIGHT TOURNAMENT BBQ'S
A huge thanks to all of those who helped out with our last night tournament bbq. I
know that I mentioned that it was the last night tournament bbq of the year, but we
have one more left! It is this Friday night starting at about 4:30 pm at the west
ramp. Pleas come on out if you can.
CHALLENGE TOURNAMENT
This annual event will be held on 16th out of the west ramp. The parking lot is
reserved the night before for all of those wishing to stay the night. Remember,
although this is a non-points event, this is not an invitation to skip the event!
Please come out to fish as we try to retain the Sun Country Marine cup!! Free BBQ
and BBQ to be held afterwards!
