The 7th event of the 2008 CBC circuit took place out of Castaic’s West Ramp on July 13th, with 12 teams competing. Taking 1st on this day was Victor Nardiello and the Editor with a limit totaling 11.03lbs. We caught fish early on Senkos and culled later by dropshotting Roboworms. There is no doubt that Victor’s tournament rigged Stratos boat was the key to the victory!
Taking 2nd were Larry Wild and Nick Langer with a limit totaling 10.78lbs. Included in their catch was a Larry’s 4.19 bass, the big fish of the day. Great job guys!
Placing 3rd were Mike Munson and John Chapman with a limit totaling 10.63lbs. A big part of their catch was a nice kicker of 3.24 lbs. Great job gentlemen!
A huge thanks to John Barron and his Top Stick staff for weighing our fish, and thanks also to those guys for allowing us to BBQ burgers for the whole group. Great job to all club members who helped out at this event and all of our other burger cooking fundraisers. Our next BBQ will be for the night tournament on August 22nd out of the West Ramp.
Our next tournament is the two day event at Cachuma on Saturday and Sunday, August 16th and 17th. A group site called Pawnee Plateau has been reserved for the club, for the nights of the 15th and 16th. Sorry, no hook ups this time…
Please remember, keep up on your dues, if you cannot make a meeting send along your dues with another member. You can also mail your dues to Shelley if you can’t make a meeting. Also, if you plan on fishing an event and cannot make the meeting let a member who is attending the meeting know about this, so you can be put in the tournament draw.
