January 2009 Tournament Results - Castaic Lake
Tournament Results or How I spend my second SundaysIt was a dark and stormy night. A beagle sits atop his doghouse typing. Okay, it was neither dark nor stormy and as far as I know beagles can’t type much less sit atop their doghouses, I just always wanted to start something that way. It was cold but then again it was January. The conditions were tough but given the pressure on Castaic Lake, that is nothing new either. Due to the new rules governing tournament fishing at Castaic the limits have been dropped to 4 fish. Mike Carpenter and Nick Langer caught 4 fish and weighed in a great total of 13.22 pounds. Finishing second were Ralph Rosas and Kevin (I have more fishing rods than KVD) Merry with 3 fish that included Ralph’s tournament Big Fish that weighed 4.45 pounds. In third place were Mike Lander and our new member Jason Haustad with another 4 fish limit. There were a total of 25 fish caught on just another one of those tough Castaic Lake Sundays.
